Appointments & Insurance Information
Before an appointment:
- Please bring any referral letters, scans/imaging, and/or clinical reports that you may have in relation to you issue.
- Please bring appropriate clothing for your appointment. If you forget not to worry, we have a range of shorts and t-shirt for you to wear.
- Payment is required at the end of each assessment or treatment session.
- We also work with a range of insurance companies.
- The Allianz Partners, Aviva, AXA PPP, AXA PPP International, BUPA, BUPA International, Cigna UK, Healix & WPA directly.
- Patients of Physio On The Green with other health insurance policies are asked to reclaim their fees directly from their insurer.
- If you decide to claim treatment costs on your health insurance, you will need to contact your insurance company directly preceding your physiotherapy appointment.
- Each insurance policy differs, and we suggest you ensure in advance that your treatment is covered.
- It’s very important to check whether you need to be referred by a doctor or a healthcare consultant before receiving treatment.
Insurance Companies in detail:
We bill Allianz Partners, Aviva, AXA PPP, AXA PPP International, BUPA, BUPA International, Cigna UK, Healix, Vitality Health & WPA directly on your behalf. However, please be aware that this is your policy and Physio On The Green cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred.
Any appointments you undertake with Physio On The Green prior to getting authorisation from your insurance companies approval, you will be charged at the full rate and will not be refundable, in full or in part, once you have approval.
Before you come in for your initial appointment you must present:
- your up-to-date membership number and injury pre-authorisation number from your insurance company.
- your policy limitations (i.e. your excess amount and the amount of money or the number of sessions that has been approved).
From time-to-time your insurance company may reject a payment due to the limitations of your policy, meaning that you will need to pay Physio On The Green directly. In most instances you will need to contact yourself because of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and data protection.
Reasons why your insurance company may refuse an invoice we have sent on your behalf:
- as with most kinds of insurance policy you will have an excess. Your insurance company may ask you to pay this excess to Physio On The Green.
- you may have reached your maximum benefit. For example, if your policy limit is £1000 and the value of your treatment sessions goes over this amount, you will have to pay the outstanding charges.
- your insurance company may decide to limit the number of treatment sessions you are allowed. If so, you will need to pay for all outstanding treatment sessions.
- your insurance company may not allow you to have 2 appointments on the same day.
- Your insurance company may set a time-cap for your appointment times.
- if you do not present us with the relevant authorisation, or if your employer must authorise treatment then you may not have this benefit available until it is authorised by your employer/organisation. If so, you will need to pay for all treatment until this is resolved.
If any of the above occur you as the patient, who has received treatment from us, will be liable and expected to cover any outstanding monies.
It is important to note that you can only claim for physiotherapy assessments and treatments alone.
